Appearance, color & mineral information

• Apophyllite often occurs as clear or translucent crystals, sometimes light green, white or slightly bluish. The crystals are often pyramidal or cubic and have a beautiful, glassy luster. As a mineral, apophyllite belongs to the phyllosilicates and contains, among others, calcium, potassium and fluorine.

History & Origin

Apophyllite was named in the early 19th century, and its name comes from the Greek word apophylliso , meaning “to come apart,” referring to the stone’s behavior when heated. It is found primarily in India, but also in Iceland, Brazil, and Canada. Indian apophyllites are particularly prized for their brilliance and energy.

Use

Apophyllite is excellent for meditation, healing, and energy-lifting . It is often displayed as is, as it is delicate and not suitable for constant contact or jewelry use. It is not recommended to cleanse the stone with water - the best method is smoke cleansing or sound cleansing.

The size of one stone is approx. 11cm x 8cm x 5cm and weighs 500g-550g.
