Morte&Dohlen
This year's Kekri evening celebration will be opened by Kallomäki and dancers Morte&Dohlen. Kallomäki is a band from Riihimäki that combines jouhikko metal and dark folk into a unique entity. At the heart of the band's sound is a handmade electric jouhikko, which brings a recognizable archaic tone to the music.
Since 2018, Kallomäki has performed actively both in Finland and across Europe, in clubs as well as at large festivals. The band has released the albums Roka Ukri (2018), the double album Uuden kuun aika I & II (2020), and Huunpurema (2023).
Kallomäki's gigs offer a comprehensive experience where music and visual performance transport the listener into the mythology created by the band's founder Tero Kalliomäki about the ancient cult leader Roka Ukri.
Morte & Dohlen is a Helsinki-based dance duo specializing in dark fusion belly dance, whose performances combine metal music, belly dance technique, and a mystical, neo-gothic aesthetic. The group consists of professional dancers Maria Morte and Anni Dohlen. They collaborate closely with Kallomäki and will perform together again at Kekri Fest & Feast.
